Welcome to My Place@Home!

While our My Place | My Story digital storytelling workshop is on hiatus for in-person learning, we encourage you to still create and share your personal stories with us—and to share how you are faring during this uncertain and unprecedented time in our lives.

We invite you to create and submit a short (1-2 minute) video about what you are doing, feeling and thinking during the COVID-19 crisis and your time sheltering at home. All you need is a device with a camera to get started. Please no profanity, nudity, violence, or hateful language. All submitted films must be family friendly!

Here are some questions and prompts to get your ideas flowing:

WHAT ARE YOU DOING? ARE YOU…

Attending virtual classes?
Being creative?
On screens all day?
Enjoying the outdoors?
Connecting with friends and family outside your home?

HOW ARE YOU FEELING? ARE YOU…

Bored?
Sad?
Stir Crazy?
Anxious?
Scared?
Glad to have time to think?
Enjoying time off?
Rediscovering your family, or pets?

Once your video is complete:

Submit your film as a QuickTime .mov or as a .mp4  video file.

Send an email to [email protected] to let us know you have a film to submit, and we will send you a link where you can share your video file with us via Dropbox.

Submitted films will be posted on the CFI Education vimeo channel and broadcast on Marin TV’s Educational channel (thanks to our awesome production partner Community Media Center of Marin!).
