This 5-day filmmaking program is an opportunity for students to learn from first-class film professionals in a fun, interactive, and collaborative online environment—and a great way for both beginning and intermediate aspiring filmmakers to enhance their craft and storytelling skills. Students will learn elements of screenwriting, cinematography, sound, editing, and more and will collaborate with fellow students on the production of a short movie. The program will include a combination of online lessons, group viewings and discussions, guest speakers, and at-home activities that will culminate in a virtual premiere of a completed film project.
Students will use their own devices (e.g., camera, phone, tablet) for shooting.
Lead Instructor: Jason Wolos is an experienced San Francisco-based freelance filmmaker with a history of producing, directing, shooting, editing, and writing for hire around the world.
